We respect your privacy. This policy explains, in plain English, how we handle your personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

Who we are

Action Finance Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 57 162 704 716, Australian Credit Licence 514169) is a mortgage broker based in Mackay, Queensland.

What we collect

When you send an enquiry through this website we collect:

To see your calculator results, you must submit your contact details and consent to us contacting you about your free refinance review. Your contact details and calculated scenario are sent together to our enquiry systems, including Google and Pipedrive.

  • your name, mobile number and email address;
  • the loan and debt figures you entered in the calculator — balances, repayments and repayment frequencies — along with the estimate it produced.

When you click “Calculate my weekly saving”, we save the loan balances, repayments, repayment frequencies and calculated estimate, along with the calculation time and campaign source, in a private records system powered by Lovable Cloud. These calculator records do not contain your name, email or phone number. We use a random identifier for this page visit to recognise repeated calculations and record whether an enquiry was subsequently submitted. They cannot be used to contact you unless you separately submit your details.

If you go on to apply for a loan, we'll collect more information, such as identification, income, expenses, assets, liabilities and credit history.

How we collect it

We collect information directly from you through this website's form, by phone, by email, and later during a credit application. With your consent, we may also collect information from third parties such as lenders, credit reporting bodies and your employer.

Why we use it

  • to respond to your enquiry and call you back;
  • to understand calculator usage and how often calculations lead to enquiries;
  • to provide credit assistance, such as comparing loans and helping with an application;
  • to meet our responsible lending obligations under the National Consumer Credit Protection Act 2009 (Cth);
  • to send you information about our services. You can opt out at any time.

Who we may share it with

  • lenders and their mortgage insurers;
  • our aggregator, which provides our lender panel and software;
  • credit reporting bodies, but only with your consent during an application;
  • valuers;
  • service providers that host our website forms, customer records and appointment bookings, including Lovable Cloud (our private calculator records), Google, Pipedrive (our customer management system) and Calendly (our booking tool);
  • regulators and government bodies where the law requires it.

Overseas disclosure

Our calculator records are stored with Lovable Cloud, website form submissions are processed by Google services and Pipedrive, and bookings by Calendly; that data may be stored on servers outside Australia. Meta (Facebook) receives website usage data through the Meta Pixel and may process it overseas, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure these providers handle information in line with the APPs.

Cookies and tracking

This website uses the Meta Pixel to measure how well our ads perform. It records page views ("PageView"), calculator use (a separate "Calculate" event), enquiries ("Lead") and bookings ("Schedule"). Calculations are not counted as leads. We do not send your loan figures through these pixel events.

To opt out, you can block or clear cookies in your browser settings, use a tracker-blocking extension, or change your ad settings at Meta ad preferences.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including access controls and secure systems. We keep credit-related records for at least 7 years, as required by law, then destroy or de-identify them securely.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details above. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. If we refuse, we'll tell you why in writing.

Direct marketing

We may contact you about products and services we think could suit you. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email, replying STOP to a text message, or contacting us directly.
